The Eric Gordon Jr. (“EJ” being his childhood nick) photoshop came about as something of an indirect request when someone tweeted the following pic, asking if anyone could “do anything with it.”

One look at it and all I saw was platform shoes and bell bottoms.

At this point in my photoshopping career I knew very few shortcuts, meaning it took me about 3 hours to do then what it would about an hour now, for a pic of this particular complexity.

As a result, my pic files are in fact still cluttered with odd strays such as Timmy’s fro (that had to be flipped) and right arm.

Things go much more smoothly these days, but I can’t seem to part with all these stray parts quite yet. A reminder of the grind, I suppose.

One day. One day…

Gimp 2.0 is my preferred tool, a program that comes without instructions that I literally spent years learning my way around.

Today, after thousands of hours of trial and error I can whip up a fun photoshop in mere minutes.
